Ant Empire's Brand Story

In Guishan, Taoyuan, we embraced the idea of "seeing the small and understanding the great."

To create a unique ant ecological museum, one of the few of its kind in Taiwan and rare in the world.

For the first time, people can observe ants up close, on a museum scale, how they build, communicate, cooperate, and expand.

It will officially open in October 2024, launching a nature education movement that takes you from the palm of your hand to the world.

We transformed the idea of "seeing the small to understand the great" into a unique ant eco-museum, the only one of its kind in Taiwan and one of the few in the world, allowing people to observe, for the first time on a museum scale, how ants build, communicate, cooperate, and expand up close.

It will officially open in October 2024.

Launch a nature education movement that extends from the palm of your hand to the world.

The story begins earlier

Founder Wang Bingcheng accumulated knowledge and like-minded people through high school science fairs and his blogging community during university. In 2013, he took out a loan to open his first specialty store centered around ants, turning a niche interest into a business that could be understood, shared, and practiced. This uncharted path became the most solid foundation of our brand.

About the Ant Empire

For over a decade, we've leveraged our experience in large-scale ant breeding and incorporated techniques such as 3D printing, model making and painting, and CNC machining to develop a series of MIT (Made in Taiwan) ant nests and accessories. We've promoted the design standards of "beautiful, easy to care for, and good for ants" overseas. Today, our ant nests and related products are sold in 26 countries, and through collaborations with major Japanese pet retailers, we're bringing Taiwanese design into more homes and classrooms. This isn't just about selling products; it's about sending a way of seeing the world to more distant places.

Before building the museum, we had a vision: to bring the underground world to the surface, so that everyone who walks into the exhibition hall feels like they're entering a real anthill—understanding their society, division of labor, and language, and ultimately learning to respect all things. This idea has evolved from a blueprint in an international press release into a tangible experience we can have today.

The ant empire is never about "selling ants".

What we sell is the value of observation, patience, and cooperation;

We bring nature home and put our curiosity back in our hands.

When you stand in front of the transparent corridor and see worker ants relaying loads and their antennae touching to exchange messages,

You will understand that insignificance is not a limitation, but a starting point; every life, regardless of its appearance, color, or size, has its own value and unique way of survival.
